David Prevatt helping a friend
Donation protected
David is continuing his recovery. Therapy is a challenge, BUT David is determined. His memory is amazing. But his cognitive functions are NOT. Although, we are working hard to regain his abilities. David is still not able to drive or work. As most of you know David was let go after 34 years with Acousti. Due to the FMLA Policy. But HR did promise him his job back when he is able. Life certainly has been difficult since 6/11/23.
It's “NOW”important for friends and family to stay in touch with him. So please contact David. The more familiarity the faster he can recover. David is anxious and willing to proceed with any challenge so he can return to normal. Honestly me too.
We still have gofundme to help with his medical needs that insurance continues to decline. It's very important to get David in these therapy sessions for his BTI (Brain Trauma Injury). If you are hesitant (some are) please call me. There is another way to help him. David really needs help due to employment situation. Thank you. God Bless and believe in Miracles. David is living it
I thought I would share David’s journey so far. Perhaps it will help better Understand his serious medical condition and the costs it entails for his recovery.

6/11/23 Accident occurred helping a friend repair his roof. David fell off the roof. David was flown (LifeFlight) to the trauma center from Ponte Vedra FL.

6/11/23 Fractured skull 18 Staples, 3 separate brain bleeds. In coma for days. His life was in question.

6/23/23 Still in Trauma Center ICU

6/24/23 Transfer by ambulance to Rehabilitation Hospital

6/27/23 Intense therapy begins 3 sessions a day, five days a week.

6/29/23 David’s balance is off. Also working on his memory and coordinations.

7/04/23 Improving his balance, memory and coordinations

7/05/23 working on balance and cognitive - coordination. Memory is amazing.

7/07/23 Again balance and cognitive issues. Unable to remember how to do so many things. (iphone, computer, remote, etc.)

7/15/23 working on cognitive, walking with assistance.

7/23/23 Discharged from Rehabilitation Hospital

7/23/23 Returned home from Rehabilitation Hospital

7/28/23 started home therapy then started outpatient therapy at BROOKS 8/01/23
Davids continues to work hard at Brooks Rehab as outpatient. Although, what’s really needed is the Brain Trauma Injury Day Program which unfortunately was denied with his insurance. And he did not qualify for the scholarship due to past work benefits. The Driving Therapy was also denied. It’s been devastating to David. He depends on me to Chauffeur and I became his caregiver. David and I been together 17 happy years. It’s so devastating to losing his independence. I hope this finds you all well and any amount to help David is better than nothing at all. Please consider helping David so we may enjoy life life again.

Thank you so much for all the love and support.
David & Jeannie
