David Richmond's Excess Skin Surgery

In 2015, I gained an excessive amount of weight due to health issues involving my blood and 9 stomach ulcers. In October of 2015, I was at my highest weight of 460 pounds with no loss in sight. I visited the Cleveland Clinic and it was decided to start over with stomach procedure, Roux-en-Y, in December 2015.  This surgery truly changed my life; however had some negative side effects.

By December 2016, I had lost more than 200 pounds! I was feeling fantastic, however my self confidence began to decline. Excess skin around my torso, back and arms began to effect my everyday life. I kept my weight off for 4 years and decided it's time to have the surgery to remove the excess skin. So I can be comfortable in my body; mentally and physically. 

I've met with 4 doctors within different hospitals and decided to go with Dr. Surfield in Sandusky, OH. This procedure is not covered by insurance and will cost $17,089. My savings and a personal loan will be put towards this procedure; however I still need more help and funds. The Panniculectomy will remove roughly 8 inches of skin circumferentially, from my torso and back. This will allow me to run and move around without pain from the excess skin movement. I'm hoping to have the surgery the first week of February. However, the surgery must be paid in full prior to scheduling.
