David Shaw and Family

Dear Friends and Family, we desperately need your help to financially support and lift up the Shaw family in prayer.

Thursday July 25 while on vacation at the CO River our dear friend David Shaw slipped on a boat launch and hit the back of his head. He immediately lost consciousness but came to after about 30 seconds. When the paramedics arrived he was able to answer questions appropriately but they suggested he be seen in the ER as a precaution, (since he had a positive loss of consciousness). Once he arrived in the ER he became short of breath and then went unresponsive again. He was intubated and the CT scan showed a BRAIN BLEED in his frontal lobe. He was immediately life flighted to a hospital in Phoenix AZ to see a neurosurgeon but since his arrival his condition has only worsened. He is still currently intubated and sedated due to increased agitation and has become less responsive to commands and stimuli when staff tries to wean him off the sedation meds. He's also now developed pneumonia and is on antibiotics to treat the infection but  is also showing signs of a possible kidney infection.

This has caused unexpected financial stress on our sweet friends and any money we raise will go towards medical expenses, hotel fees, food  etc so that his wife Lisa and two daughters (Destiny and Drew) can stay close by to their Dad in Phoenix. David is going to have a long road to recovery with a traumatic brain injury, and his family is hoping once he becomes more stabilized he can be transferred closer to home in Los Angeles. Anything you can give will be such a blessing to the Shaw family.

Please lift up David and his family in your prayers for continued healing to his brain, that he would become more responsive each day, and would be able to begin breathing on his own as well.
