David "Socrates" Anderson needs a helping hand.

My name is Hon. Bro. Jeffrey Sneed (DSC 173) and I'm initiating this plea to help my line brother, David Scott Anderson, better known as Socrates in the Western Region, get back on his feet with the help of his Sigma brothers, Masonic brothers, and friends.
David has been besieged with serious health challenges for several years. Type II diabetes has taken his right leg, and with it, his mobility. It has negatively impacted his eyesight. All of these and other challenges have made it hard to earn enough money to live and raise his two daughters in Florida. David had an exceptional career building call centers throughout Central America for years. The differences in health care brought him back to the US (Florida) more than six years ago. My "deuce" is a proud man. He wouldn't ask for anything from his circle of friends without a significant need.
He and I met in junior high school at Bethune Jr. High in Los Angeles. But when we reconnected at Los Angeles Southwest College, we became family. When we both transferred into the University of Southern California, I told Dave I was going to pledge Sigma and that he should join me. He trusted me and in tandem we hit the ground hard. Charter members of Nu Upsilon (USC), collegiate members of Hon. Bro. Demetrius C. Newton's first cabinet and presidential futures honorees.
Dave is proud that despite his struggles since returning to the US, he has maintained his financial membership for those six years.
I know, all too well, the charitable spirit of the brothers of Phi Beta Sigma. I'm asking you all to help my LB, my brother, my friend with the equivalent of a cup of good coffee, a quick sandwich at lunch or a nightcap of nice bourbon to help live with less worry so that he can focus on reclaiming his health and raising his family.
Thank you all.
