David Solomon Kostus

My name is Trent Nelson, and I'm the closest thing to a sibling that David ever had. He was an only child, raised by Mary, his hard working mother. The two of them struggled from the start, with little more than a bag of clothes and an empty apartment when they moved to Lodi, NJ in the late 70s. But they built modest lives to be proud of. Through education, effort and persistence I watched both of them grow and improve their station in life over the last 40+ years. They always supported each other, as much as any mother and son can, and David went out of his way to bring Mary on some of his adventures. Of course, they had their differences over the years, but they could always rely on each other. The last few years, David fought mental health and addiction issues before tragically passing away on 8/09/23. Mary has managed much of his finances as he struggled to work and now, with his passing, has more unexpected bills to manage. Since I know she'd never ask. I've set this fundraiser up and 100% will go to Mary to help her with Dave's final expenses and memorial. Please donate and share if you can! Every bit is appreciated.
