David Valenzuela - Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
Dear family, friends, and community I am reaching out to you to ask for support to lay my beloved father David Valenzuela to rest.
My father David recently transitioned on November 2, 2021 just days after celebrating his 60th birthday. My dad became terminally ill early August and came home on hospice late September, where we were able to care for him for his last 5 weeks of life. This short life expectancy came to us as a shock and we were not prepared. As you can imagine, this was a huge emotional and financial strain on my family but we were able to love and care for my dad in his most vulnerable time as he has always loved and cared for us.
One word to describe David would be : LOVE. He loved deeply and unconditionally. Above all he loved his family and God. His pride and joy were his 5 kids - Carol, Marcy, Maritza, Florencia and Michael. He loved being a grandpa. He loved being an Army Vet and connecting with other veterans. He loved those who others would forget - the homeless, the addicts, the backsliders because he knew what it was like to be one. He not only loved but he always was willing to share his testimony and speak about Gods grace and his ultimate love - Jesus.
David was no saint but he was a humble man who was always honest about his short comings and worked to be better. He would help anyone who needed assistance on the road, give up a shirt or jacket and always gave the hungry food. He taught us love, faith, and respect and to never look down on someone because of their situation. He was a bright light with a contagious laugh and smile. He was an beautiful human being and he is deeply missed.
We are all devastated by David’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost and all the expenses. Some of his funeral costs are being covered by the VA but many aren’t. We want to give David the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Davids ’s funeral. We need to raise 20,000 by November 29th in order to be able to afford the funeral service.
Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
Thank you for your love and support
