David Van Meter’s sudden passing

Hi - it’s Lisa & Vicki - close friends of Lorie & Dave’s for 30+ years. On behalf of all of the Van Meter’s friends, we are coming together to help raise funds for 2 of the most important people in Dave’s life - his wife Lorie and daughter Jessica.

Dave passed away unexpectedly at 1:22am yesterday, March 23rd while on tour and was at a stop in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Dave was a bus driver for many famous bands and it took him on the road for a big portion of the year. He was the sole supporter of his family / as I am sure you all know - his wife and daughter are in total shock (as are we) - he just turned 56. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off of his back to help someone in need. Can we step up and help them for Dave?

They could truly use ANY help they can get right now with these unexpected expenses and bills to at least try to get them set up to not have to worry about things and give themselves time to grieve and not worry about the mortgage/utilities/medical bills, etc. There is no life insurance.

ANY donation is greatly appreciated to help this family in this most difficult time.

We will update when there will be a Celebration of Life for Dave.
