David Waggoner - Summer update!!

First and foremost, we all know that cancer sucks. Although the diagnosis is far too common, it sucks the life out of the patient, and the family. Recently, our family has lost too many dear friends to this horrible disease. And, now, our family will be part of that same fight. Our, dad, David Waggoner was diagnosed a year ago with MDS (Myelo Dysplastic Syndrome) which we always knew was a precursor to Leukemia, if not managed and treated through monthly chemo treatments and blood transfusions. Our dad did this and fought through the side effects like a champ. He kept doing what he loves the most, singing weekly at local venues in Apache Junction, AZ, and last summer he was back in MN, doing shows with Whiskey River and Crow. This summer, he was looking forward to being back in MN and performing several shows again. Unfortunately, that will all have to be put on hold. The MDS has progressed to AML (Acute Myelolitic Leukemia). There is a new battle ahead. Our dad is very optimistic, and so are we. The fight continues with him being admitted to MD Anderson Cancer Center in AZ, for 21-28 days of in-patient Chemo. In order to assist with medical expenses, Shannon, Jessica, and I, have opted to share this information with family, friends, and fans. However you choose to show your love for our dad, we are grateful and humbled by all those who wish to fight the fight with him. We also do this with a deep love for those who have fought and won, and especially for those who have fought and lost their battle.
