Help David and Debbie Fight Cancer!
Donation protected
David Craig has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Renal Cancer. David cannot work, he has unknown medical expenses and his wife, Debbie Craig runs a small home-based childcare program out of their home.
David and Debbie Craig have touched the lives of so many children and families in this community. Debbie Craig was a beloved educator at the Watsonville Cooperative Preschool at Linscott Charter School, and hosted Together in The Park for many years at Aldridge Lane Park in Corralitos. She currently operates A Child's Garden, which is a farm-based preschool and after-school program for children in her home in Corralitos. David volunteers his time with a local Boy Scout troop and the Young Men's Organization with the Mormon Church.
In order to ease the burden of this challenging time we hope to raise $30,000 to give them some financial breathing room. The money will help them offset medical costs. The money will allow Debbie to pay for assistants to work alongside her in the preschool so she can spend time attending to David's needs. The funds will also be used to help them complete the building of a barn on their property (pending county inspections and approval) so that the children in their preschool can have their own space. With the barn in place David will have more privacy while he undergoes chemotherapy and recovery.
We hope to set up meal trains once chemotherapy begins. And we will be hosting work parties to 'raise the barn' and help with farm projects they need completed during the coming months.
