David Kinzer - Medical / Benefit

Donation protected
Direct Push Analytical is asking for your help.  We typically ask for jobs to keep the business going - this time it is for Donations to assist an employee with medical issues and ensuing expenses.

A lot of our CRM Contacts (possibly you) have had a chance to work with David Kinzer on your Geoprobe Jobs that we have completed.  David has been working at Direct Push Analytical for 13 of our 20 years in business.  If you have missed David over the last couple of months on jobs, it is because he has been sick.

Beginning on May 4, 2015 David was diagnosed with pneumonia. On May 19 after home rest and antibiotics David was able to return to work but continued to not feel well. On July 20, at the urging of family members, David went to his doctor and had some diagnostic tests performed which indicated he had a serious bacterial infection in his lungs (Empyema) and he required emergent hospitalization. His left lower lobe of his lung was 75% filled with fluid.  After more than 3 weeks in the hospital and numerous diagnostic tests and 2 surgical procedures, David is looking at being discharged as soon as his lungs heal from the surgery.

Working in a small business has its pros & cons.   One of the pro’s is it is a tight knit operation.  Your co-workers become like family and sometimes they really are your family.  In a small company though, Employee Benefits typically can’t match those offered by larger companies.  At Direct Push Analytical, our employees are afforded health insurance, but to have a manageable premium, it is more of a “catastrophic coverage” health plan with an extremely high deductible.  Likewise, Direct Push Analytical has been unable to afford short term or long-term disability policies for its employees.

David’s prognosis is good at this point, but he will be missing work for a while. David is looking at a minimum of 4 weeks of home rest and IV antibiotics while he continues to recover from his surgery and regains his strength and endurance.  After his home treatment is complete, time and his continued recovery will determine when he can return to conducting fieldwork.

After using up vacation and sick time, plus Direct Push Analytical personnel pooling their unused paid time off to assist David, David will still be short on paying expenses and wages to live on.  Therefore, the employees of Direct Push Analytical have established a Go Fund Me account in David’s name as well as a Fifth Third Bank account that will take Donations directly.

Our Goal is $ 25,000, which should cover his portion of medical expenses plus missed wages, and allow him to concentrate on healing and getting back out in the field.  Direct Push Analytical has over 1000 CRM contacts that have supported us in some fashion in the past.  If each person can make a donation of $ 25 or more we can reach our goal.
