Remembering David Clarke: Libby Hill Memorial Bench and Tree

Our beloved David passed away peacefully at home on October 16th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a respected lawyer, revered community member, and loving family man. David last resided in Church Hill overlooking Libby Hill Park, a place he cherished. It was there he celebrated family events, took contemplative walks, and played with his treasured dog Bunji. Libby Hill Park looks onto downtown where he spent his career, and the beautiful James River, where he pursued his passion for being on the water. In his memory we would like to install a park bench and a living tree overlooking the city and the river that he loved. Once our goal is achieved, additional funds will go to the care and conservation of Libby Hill Park.
