David's campaign for Food Bank for NYC
My name is David Kilgore and this month I’m partnering with On to give back to the city I call home. The holiday season is one of the hungriest times of the year for struggling New Yorkers, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only made this worse. That is why I am using my sport and platform to raise donations and awareness for the Food Bank NYC 5-Borough-Challenge.
On Sunday, December 13th I will be running across every borough in NYC, a distance of around 70 miles. I am running both to raise awareness for struggling local shops and gain donations for the people of NYC. The donations will go straight to FoodBank4NYC (https://give.foodbanknyc.org/campaign/5-borough-holiday-challenge/c310646) and it is my mission to surpass the fundraising goal in each borough. Bank of America will be doing a one to one match to further the impact. Let’s do what we can to help our neighbors this holiday season.
I encourage everyone to help in whatever way you can, whether that is through a donation or joining me on my run to raise awareness. You can join me in person or virtually through Instagram live and story. Be sure to tag me (@davidkilgore ), @on_running, and @lostboystrackclub.
If you are able to run, be sure to do so responsibly, wear a mask, and keep your distance from others. The run will start at 5 AM EST and you can find location updates on Instagram, @davidkilgore, and @on_running. Taking donations through 12/26. When making your donation please make note of which borough fundraising goal you’d like to contribute to!
Thank you all and see you out there!
