David's Road to Health

Late one evening, the first week of January 2023, David was rushed to the hospital with what we thought was an asthma episode. To our consternation, David was diagnosed with stage IV non-squamous lung cell carcinoma. Although the news was devastating, we wasted no time in getting David treatment for what has turned out to be one of the most aggressive cancer types. He has tirelessly undergone various rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, which initially appeared to be helping only to eventually lose their effectiveness.

David is currently taking part in a clinical trial, however, there are treatment options not currently covered by his health insurance that could help him tremendously in his recovery. He has already tried some alternative treatments, including clean diet, high dose vitamin C IV, and repurposed cancer drugs with some benefits. Unfortunately, we have exhausted our financial means to continue to supplement his cancer treatment. As devastating as a cancer diagnosis is, it has become apparent to us that not having the means to adequately care for a cancer patient is the worst nightmare one could ever face. For such reason, we are humbly asking you to join our fight against cancer. With your help, we will be able to get David the care he desperately needs to have the best chance at beating his cancer diagnosis.

Please join in our fight, David is everything for our 7-year-old son Andrew and he needs him in his life. Since Andrew’s birth, they’ve been inseparable, and I can’t imagine not having David to guide Andrew as he grows up and to teach him valuable life lessons that only a father can teach. David has been nurturing, supportive, compassionate, and a source of strength for me and our son. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for us, for such reason, as difficult as it was for me to make the decision to ask for your help, I’m asking for your help to give David a fighting chance.
