David's Recovery
Hi Friends and Family,
As many of you know our friend David suffered from a brain hemorrhage medical emergency on January 10th 2016. After a brain aneurysm was diagnosed as the cause of this life threatening condition, David underwent surgeryon January20th to “clip” the aneurysm so it would no longer pose a risk for bleeding.
While David’s surgical procedure itself was deemed a success, he has unfortunately been faced with one recovery setback after another. During the open surgery an artery adjacent to the one being worked on was nicked, causing a mild stroke. The mishap was stabilized and the doctors claim that there would be no long term side effects. Next up came the cerebral vasospasms, a complication where cerebral blood vessels narrow, causing reduced blood flow that can create a risk of rebleeding. The vasospasms are still lingering around, but levels have been stable over the last couple days. Also, David contracted a strep infection and has been battling blood clotting as well. All the while his kidneys have been taking a beating and he now has to undergo dialysis, which was started today.
David is in overall stable condition, but is still in the critical care unit battling the mentioned setbacks with his family by his side. With no time table for his extended hospital stay and an extensive rehabilitation process ahead, David and his wife Julie need our help.
David and Julie were very reluctant when we proposed this idea,we explained that your friends, family, and members of the community want to help in situations like this…especially when we know you guys would be the first to help out if the roles were reversed.
Any amount you donate is appreciated beyond words. And if you cannot contribute money, prayers are welcome too!
Thank you so much in advance. This is a tough time for David and his family, but your support makes it much easier.
