Hi, I'm Sam (their daughter), July 29th there was a fire in their home. Everyone got out safely. They had lived there for just shy of 18 years. Alot of stuff is damaged if not completely gone. My mom is huge on Christmas, she normally has the inside completely decorated. That is all a complete loss. Anyone who knows my parents know they are the most caring people, they will help how ever they can. They will give the shirt off their back, they help with meals/ food, if you needed a safe place, someone to vent to, and so much more.
At this point we are waiting on insurance, to see if/what we can salvage. We are slowly trying to figure everything out. We have no clue what is needed yet. This is just a start for them to rebuild their lives. Possibly be able to find a place to relocate to. Any thing will help!
*Update: we are still figuring things out, we haven't been able to sift through anything. We are in communication of what we desperately hope to salvage. They are in contact with insurance and taking it step by step.
We can't begin to explain how much gratitude we feel. The amount of support is unbelievable. A friend of my moms said it best.
"Thank you so incredibly much, to those who have donated, so far! I think I speak for the family by acknowledging that your generosity, has not gone unnoticed! Their gratitude is immeasurable!❤️" -Theresa. I've looked for the right words and I couldn't put it together better then she did.
- I set the goal a little high to hopefully help them get a down payment for a home of their own. So this situation maybe avoided.
