Dawn Boucher - A Survivor of Domestic Gun Violence

On Monday April 1, 2024, Dawn Boucher was the victim of a senseless act of domestic gun violence, resulting in traumatic and life threatening injuries. She was shot in through the cheek/neck and has been fighting for her life.
(Update as of 4/3: spoke to Dawn’s Mother, Teresa- Dawn spent 12 hours in surgery yesterday and there is a high likelihood of her ending up being left quadriplegic from the extent of her injuries.)
(4/5/24 ~6:30PM: Spoke to Dawn’s daughter, Gabby. Dawn now has a tracheostomy in place. She has been able to communicate with some nods and facial expressions. Most importantly- she has some feeling in her arms and hands, which sounds reassuring that’s all the information I have for now. Thank you all so much for your donations and your prayers! Dawn is a caring and loving mother of her two children, Dylan, 25, and Gabbie, 17. She is a Navy Veteran, now a Nurse Practitioner in the Mental Health Field, and is known to be devoted to her career, and a great coworker to her colleagues at work. Dawn also cares for animals in her spare time on her property, including horses, and puppies. She truly devotes her life every day to helping others. If anyone is deserving of our help, it’s Dawn!
This sudden and traumatic incident is of course putting immense pressure and stress on her children. There will be medical bills, loss of income, home/other expenses that Dawn was previously managing, and of course any needs that her children (especially her teen daughter) may have when it comes to transportation, groceries, or any other expenses that may come up. And of course, Dawn’s medical care as she heals and adjusts to a new “normal”, and all the challenges that come with this devastating injury.
