Dawn Rose of Gaytonwood Gundogs

Dawn sadly and very suddenly was taken from us on Tuesday 1st October 2024. Dawn put up a hell of a fight, first being diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2006. Throughout it all, Dawn remained positive and got stuck into everything life threw at her.

Dawn was widely known worldwide and had judged her beloved Golden Retrievers in many countries. On the working side, Dawn touched the hearts of many. In recent years, Dawn's new passion was horse racing, albeit on the Flat or National Hunt. She had shares in several syndicate horses and was in her element watching them train on the gallops. She enjoyed several winners on the course. She was a very proud owner.

Dawn will be remembered fondly for her warm smile, witty banter, and straight talking. At Dawn's wishes, there will be no funeral, so if people wish to donate, the proceeds will be split equally between two very worthy causes dear to Dawn's heart: Berkshire Downs & Chilterns Golden Retriever Club Rescue and The Injured Jockey Club.
