Dawn Williams has earned her Angel Wings
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that my sister Dawn Williams (Leathers) gained her Angel wings on Jan 14th after her 9-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was diagnosed in Spring of 2020, and unfortunately, she was unable to keep up the necessary fight to survive the diagnosis. After a long battle, and seemingly uncompromising complications, she was moved into a hospice facility earlier this week to make her transition in comfort and peace and surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Dawn was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, teacher, confidant, and all-around little pixie spreading her magical dust everywhere she went.
She leaves behind 2 sons and 2 grandchildren, as well as her brothers, Daddy, Mom and extended family friends spread across the country.
In speaking with her friends this week, it was evident that Dawn made everyone else a better person with her caring advice and compassionate heart, and selfless friendships.
Unfortunately we find ourselves needing to reach outside of our family unit to ask for donations to help cover the cost of the funeral services.
We are holding a Memorial Service for Dawn followed by a Mass on Jan 30th at St. Olaf's church at 623 Jefferson St, DeForest, WI. She was a strong member of that community and will be sorely missed by her students, friends, clergy and staff. The time will be announced soon. We understand that not everyone will be able to travel to DeForest, but we are trying to create a portal for online viewing. Details to come.
From Dawn’s family, we thank you for your most kind generosity and sharing with us the loving memories and stories you have of her. She will be greatly missed and remembered. As her license plate read, w e can now all claim we have an ANGL W ME
Thank you
