Dawn's Cancer Journey

As many of you know, on June 26th, our sweet momma received a diagnosis that has turned our world on it's head. After a fall in December and some suspicious back pain escalating earlier this year, she had an MRI last month that found cancerous tumors on her lower lumbar region in her back. 

After getting a CT scan and waiting for the results, we were sat down as a family and told it was metastatic breast cancer, stage 4. It had spread to her bones with tumors all along her spine and ribs, and was starting to show minor signs on her liver as well. It has been quite a ride thus far and we have graciously received countless messages of encouragement, hope and LOTS of questions on how to help. We have been so humbled by the heart of our community around our mom and even us 3 girls as we navigate this new road.

Now that we are a few weeks in and have a better understanding of what we need, our mom agreed to let us open this up for those of you who have graciously asked to donate. During this time, as suspected, my mom is not able to work and has started racking up some financial needs, both medical and simple ones like groceries. With a very specific diet (mostly veggies and a little fruit) we have strict guidelines for preparing her food and haven't been able to accept a lot of the meal train offers some of you have sweetly reached out about. However, this is a way to also help do that for her, if that is laid on your heart!

This goal was set as an estimate to cover some basic needs/finances for the next few months. The hope is that she will not have to think twice about how she will be covered during this initial stint of treatment. 

Thank you will never be enough. Prayers are worth their weight in gold to us, so please know we feel and covet all of you who have included her in your prayers, we know Jesus is the ultimate healer!! God bless you all, we are SO grateful for you!!
