Life Saving Procedure for Mom(Dawn)

Where do you even begin to try to help the woman who has given her whole life to do anything she could possible, to help her 5 children? Our mom is the most generous and caring person you could ever hope to meet in your lifetime. There is nothing she wouldn't do to help anyone in need. Many of you have seen ths first hand, wether its was all our friends (her adopted children she still calls them) and all the endless days and nights spent at our house when we were growing up, to all the moments and memories we shared as a whole family. Now we want to return the favor to finally be able to help her, as she would have helped any of us.

My name is Heather and I am one of five children from a very brave and incredibly strong mom. Let me give you a little bit of a back story as to how strong our mom is. When I was 13 years old my mom was diagnosed with brain cancer which in return increased her epileptic seizures and was giving a very limited time as too how much time she would have left with us. But my mom was not accepting that. After 10 years of battling, countless rounds of chemo and radiation treatments and multiple surgeries our mom pulled though and is now Cancer free! But cancer always rears its ugly head and because of all of the damage done internally to her body after so many years, my mom is not able to drive very far, let alone be able to wrk.
Many of you may or may not know, that for that past almost 5 years our mom has been battling a rare and fatal lung diease called Pulmonary Langerhans’ cell histiocytosis (PLCH). Which is a rare histiocytic lung disease and it is diagnosed by the accumulation of Langerhans and other inflammatory cells in the small airways, resulting in the formation of nodular inflammatory lesions. She has been undergoing physicial therapy mulitple days a weeks, as well as seeing a specialist as to how we can stop this disease from progressing. Our mom recently had a CAT Scan and the disease is now progressing further and her doctors have exhausted their options as to what else they can do, as to there is no known cure for this rare disease.

Last week my mom was accepted into a Stem Cell program at the Lung Institue in Tennessee and they would like to start next month. Once they begin the aggressive treatment she will be there for 3 days and she you will come back after 3 months later for another 3 days as well and get a second round of treatment. This allows you to maximize those stem cells. And with an 83% success rate, they believe our mom would be a good candidate so the sooner they can start the better her chances are of it working successfully and generating the new tissue that her lungs need.
Unfortunately, the cost for this treatment is $12,000 itself, and we are asking for help more so that we may provide her with help to travel back and forth and with meals as well.

On behalf of my all my siblings and my family, we are asking all of you for your help in saving the life of the amazing woman who gave us life. We are so grateful for all of you in our lives and we thank you all so incredibly much in advance for all your help, whether it's showing your love and support, by donations or by sharing this campaign.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.
Stacey, Heather, Andrew, Amber and Mackenzie.
