Dawn Curtis Help with Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Thursday, September 17th around 11:00pm Dawn was on her way home from helping a loved one when this tragic accident occurred. She had been detoured from her normal route home, when her life was innocently changed.

Dawn was hit by a driver who selfishly stole a vehicle and at a high rate of speed drove recklessly through the city. Dawn was hit so hard by this vehicle; it pushed her SUV for a distance, flipped it on its side and finally came to a rest thanks to the help of a pole. This was a Porsche that hit her SUV, the impact was intense, with speeds over 60 mph.

Our Dawn now lays in a hospital bed in critical care with ….

Broken ribs, ankles, compound breaks to the legs, and multiple crushed vertebrae in her neck, amongst major bruising and abrasions. One can only imagine the medical expense, the physical agony, her mental state and the mental state of her loved ones.

Dawn is a beautiful person inside and out. She is a comforting Mother, a committed Wife, Best Friend to so many, Sister, Daughter and Aunt.  Dawn is a very strong woman. She never ceases to amaze us with her determination. Dawn not only suffers from this accident, she has been battling with an auto-immune disease in the recent years. Although it has been a long road to get this under control, she has recently, with the help of her friends found a comfortable place in her life in dealing with this. She has made leaps and bounds from the beginning stages of her diagnosis.

We know in our hearts that even with this horrific situation happening, Dawn will continue to be the strong and beautiful person she has always been.  Although the road to recovery will be long and treacherous, she will prevail. However, the expertise of Doctors and medical staff will be necessary and costly. As her friends and family, we are looking for donations to alleviate the stress of the daily and rising medical costs. Every little bit will make a difference to lessen the load to her family. This will give them the opportunity to focus on Dawn's recovery.
