Dawn's Gender Reassignment Surgery Recovery

Hi, I'm Dawn! I'm a 32 year old trans woman living in Vermont, and I'm gearing up to have bottom surgery in a few months! I've been working towards this moment for a while now, and the surgery date is approaching rapidly. This moment represents a major step in my gender transition from male to female, and is very exciting and scary and so much more. In short, I'm feeling a lot right now while also navigating a lot of logistics to make it happen.

I need help to do this. While I have a strong support network of friends and family helping me with things like day-to-day tasks, wound care, and basic health and hygiene, I still need more help to support myself financially through this. The medical bills are quite high even with insurance, and I will be unable to work for three months. I also need medical supplies during my recovery period, and miscellaneous items like a solid supply of new underwear and dilators. Suffice it to say I could really use some dollars to make this possible for myself.
