Blood Cancer Stage 2 of 3 Myeloma

Donation protected
Bone marrow biopsy came back good (under 5%) which helps me get closer to being approved for the stem cell transplant.

My understanding is that a bone marrow biopsy is the best way to get a good count of how much cancer i'm infiltrated with so i'm having another one this Friday.

I was 75% last August. The stemcell transplant Doctor is hoping to see this one below 10%..

I’m Dave Crutcher, I’m diagnosed with stage 2 of 3 Multiple Myeloma cancer.

Any level of money donated sure is appreciated.

I live in Lexington, Kentucky. USA

I never thought I’d be on the receiving end of a fundraiser, I’m honored to accept any donations you are comfortable making.

This GoFundMe, if it really works could be the most important thing in our life right now besides me staying alive.

The money you donate here will pay on and pay off some of my Anthem insurance deductibles, co-pays, prescriptions, premiums and general household bills.

And if enough is leftover I’d love to see my daughter have a beautiful wedding before I kick the bucket. I’d post pictures here.

I went to the emergency room with severe pain in my back, across my back where the kidneys are, and up my spine. The pain was making me yell to get out of bed, or if the car hit a bump in the road I’d nearly tear up from pain.

So after going to the emergency room and having some scans done, about three hours later a doctor came back to the emergency room holding area that I was in and asked me had I ever been diagnosed with any type of cancer of the bone, I told him no, and he said the scans revealed a type of cancer which is actually a blood cancer that’s been burrowing into my bones causing lesions. The cancer is called multiple myeloma and that they would be keeping me for the night.

Over the period of that first week in the hospital they did multiple scans of my body and a bone marrow biopsy.

Finally came the official diagnosis that it is indeed multiple myeloma, and that I am in stage two of three.

He said it looked like it had been working on me for a while but with no definitive timeframe that they could give me. What got me most was when he said it was a terminal cancer. I still feel young, I’m a person my family depends on very much. We have bills to pay, my daughter is engaged to a wonderful young man, I have a son and I’m raising my grandson and my wife just doesn’t make enough to support us. So much left for me to do.

I have lesions where the cancer is burrowing into the bone all around my sacrum area, around to both hips, in my pelvic area and on the skull.

My wife was in the room with me and of course we are completely devastated with the diagnosis of multiple myeloma especially with it being terminal. Of all the things, I’ve never even smoked a single cigarette in my life lol, no cigarettes do not have anything to do with it but we just can’t believe it. I’m dying.

I have a 24 year old daughter, a 34 year old son and my wife and I are raising our 12-year-old grandson.

The medicines and treatments used to treat multiple myeloma are very expensive as you can imagine.

Of course me being on Social Security disability I’m only making less than half of what I was making when I was working so all of our other bills are getting behind. We just need to get the wolves off of our backs.

Your large or small donation to my fundraiser will be used for the good of helping out a truly sick person and family that’s been a productive hard working person always contributing to society now diagnosed with stage 2 Multiple Myeloma.

Thank you!
