Honoring a beautiful soul

Hello family and friends,

Daxton's parents and family come together today with heavy hearts and a deep need for support as we navigate through our life’s most painful experience. Our oldest son, Daxton Lee Thomas, tragically passed away on, March 13, 2024, leaving us with immeasurable amount of grief. Daxton, twenty-three years old, was not just our son but he was also a brother, grandson, and a friend to all so many of us. We humbly reach out to you, hoping to receive your kindness during this time.

Daxton was our first born son. He was a shining light, exuded in vitality and profound in his compassion for others. Daxton had an unwavering belief in our Lord and it brought him immense joy that he shared with our family and everyone he encountered. Daxton loved the Chicago Cubs, music, art and all of us. Family meant everything to him. Daxton, at age fifteen, sustained a very severe head injury with complications that affected many things. It left him with numerous mental health challenges that ultimately took him away from us far to soon. His loss has left an incredible void in our hearts, and pain of his absence.

As we mourn the loss of our beloved Daxton, we are confronted with the daunting responsibility of arranging a proper burial services for him. Unfortunately, Daxton did not have any life insurance. The funeral and cemetery and other expenses amount to eighteen thousand dollars. A sum that far exceeds our current financial capabilities. In addition to this significant amount, we have also incurred numerous other expenses related to Daxtons and the aftermath of his passing that include legal fees, healthcare cost, unpaid time off, and other services.

We turn to you, our extended family, friends and community, seeking compassion and assistance. Your generous contributions will provide us with the means to give Daxton the dignified farewell he deserves that he did not get when he was living.

Your support will help cover the cost of the burial, easing the financial burden the weighs heavily on us right now.
