Day-After-Xmas Fire in Abington Twp
Donation protected
[EDIT/UPDATE: I have edited the narrative below to remove the information about clothing/gift card donations—but NOT because those donations haven't been appreciated! Folks have been outstandingly generous in donating clothes and gift cards (and, of course, in donating to this GoFundMe), and the Lordi/Osterneck family is deeply grateful. Right now, they have as much donated clothing as they can handle until they are set up in longterm temporary housing. But for each item donated and to each person who donated it, they—and I—say a resounding THANK YOU!]
On December 26, 2017, there was a devastating house fire in the Huntingdon Valley section of Abington Township at the home of Michelle Lordi, an acclaimed jazz singer whose weekly shows at Vintage have brought beautiful music and great joy to our community. Fortunately, Michelle, her husband Mac (Malcolm), and their three kids got out safely and are staying with relatives in the area. But there was profound damage to their house and possessions.
Michelle is an incredible person and a good friend of mine. I hope that my friends throughout our wonderful Abington Township community will join both me and Ward 2 Commissioner Ken Brodsky in helping Michelle and her family recover from this catastrophic incident by donating to and sharing this GoFundMe.
If you have any questions, please contact me (Commissioner John Spiegelman) at [email redacted] or Commissioner Ken Brodsky at [email redacted]. THANK YOU so much for helping our neighbors in their time of need.
