SUPPORT DAYANE'S CANCER BATTLE

UPDATE FEBRUARY 2025:

Thank you everyone for all support. Dayane completed her first chemotherapy cycle, after two months of completion she had to return for chemotherapy and start an immunotherapy due to the accelerated growth of tumors. We will provide more updates as she navigates this difficult journey. God bless you for all the help!

UPDATE APRIL 2024:

Thank you everyone for all your support. Dayane has undergone surgery to remove some of the tumors and one of her ovaries. She has also just completed her first cycle of chemotherapy.

Hello everyone,

Dayane is 26 years old and at the peak of her youth was diagnosed with the sudden and utterly devastating news of a rare and aggressive cancer (squamous cell carcinoma arising from an ovarian cyst), which has metastasized.

We came together with the aim of providing support to her and her husband Paulo, during this turbulent phase of their lives.

Dayane, along with her husband, have lived in Toronto for 4 years, and like most of us immigrants, they work tirelessly in pursuit of their dreams of a better life.

They do not have family in Canada, all the support, affection and solidarity they have received comes from friends and we are grateful for the opportunity to walk with her, even in difficult times.

To fight this battle, the doctors have advised Dayane that she will need to undergo aggressive chemotherapy, possible radiation and surgery.

She is NOT currently covered by provincial healthcare (OHIP).

The funds raised will be used to cover for all costs that arise during these times. Unfortunately, the treatment will be aggressive, making it impossible to work, resulting in a sudden loss of income when they need financial resources the most. Therefore, we ask our community to join us in this campaign for the life of our beloved Dayane.

Dayane tem 26 anos e no auge da juventude foi diagnosticada com a notícia repentina e totalmente devastadora de um câncer raro e agressivo (carcinoma de células escamosas decorrente de um cisto no ovário), que se metastatizou.

Nos unimos com o objetivo de dar apoio a ela e ao marido Paulo, nessa fase turbulenta de suas vidas.

Dayane, junto com seu marido, moram em Toronto há 4 anos e, como a maioria de nós, imigrantes, trabalham incansavelmente em busca de seus sonhos de uma vida melhor.

Eles não têm família no Canadá, todo apoio, carinho e solidariedade que receberam vem de amigos e somos gratos pela oportunidade de caminhar com ela, mesmo em momentos difíceis.

Para travar essa batalha, os médicos alertaram Dayane que ela precisará passar por quimioterapia agressiva, possível radioterapia e cirurgia.

Ela NÃO está atualmente coberta pelos cuidados de saúde provinciais (OHIP).

Os fundos angariados serão utilizados para cobrir todos os custos que surjam durante estes períodos. Infelizmente, o tratamento será agressivo, impossibilitando o trabalho, resultando em perda repentina de renda quando mais necessitam de recursos financeiros. Por isso, pedimos à nossa comunidade que se junte a nós nesta campanha pela vida da nossa querida Dayane.
