Dayna White's Medical Fund

March 25th, 2017 a miracle was born. Cooper Douglas Stanley entered the world changing life for the new "parents to be" forever. Shortly after a wonderful, smooth labor and delievery for Dayna, life threw a curve ball as she realized something wasn't right. Her emotions went from "pure love of her newborn son", to being scared for her life.

Dayna was quickly rushed to the O.R. as she was growing a football sized hemotoma by the second. Surgery was successful and the doctor put 7 yards of "packing" in her to stop the bleeding.

After 2 more days of agonizing pain, the doctor came by to unpack her. Dayna had severe hip pain to the point where she was immobile, making the procedure difficult. After the packing was out the doctor realized the bleeding never stopped so back to the OR for a second look.

After Surgery number 2, the doctor found a bone sticking out which was what had caused the hematoma in the first  place and which continued to make her bleed internally.  Xrays were taken to find that Dayna's pubic bones had seperated beyond what any doctor at EMMC has ever seen and the right one misplaced causing the bone to stick through, and forming the hematoma.  (something they have NEVER seen in 30 years).

Surgery number 3 was to correct her pupic bone, pushing all of her bones back together. Dayna now has 2 pins set into each of her hips and 1 external rod pulling her hips and pelvis back together, that goes the length of her stomach holding these bones in place so that everything will heal in its appropiate spot. (This is terrifying for her as she can physically see it)

As a result of this extreme displacement she is unable to walk or even put pressure on either of her feet. For the next 6 to 8 weeks she will be confined to a bed or wheelchair. Dayna remains in the hospital and should be here for 3 weeks (about 2 more to go). She will work with physical and occupational therepy daily to teach her how to live on her own as she wont be able to walk for 2 months. (and still needs to care of a newborn)

The family is asking for any support our wonderful  commmunities can give! Every penny counts as the family is now struggling with medical bills and supplies for her after care such as wheel chairs, ramps, and making their house wheel chair accessible.

Freezer meals, an extra hand to clean around the house and even those who could stop by and hold and love baby cooper for a coupe of  hours so his momma can rest and heal would  be a huge blessing to Dayna.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!
