Dayne's Surgery at Stanford Medical Center
Donation protected
Dayne was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease) and Spina Bifida Occulta which has confined him to a wheelchair and this disease has caused Basilar Invagination (When the top of your spine pushes into the base of your skull leading to pressure on the brain stem). He has two options, to continue to decline in upper body strength and the ability to be independent. Or, to face a dangerous surgery next to his brain stem to repair the ability for the cerebral spinal fluid to flow appropriately.
He has chosen the dangerous surgery so we are raising funds for travel, housing, and extra medical costs especially due to the inflated costs to stay in San Francisco.
Dayne is a kind hearted, optimistic soul who loves gaming, and hopes to create wheelchair accessories for other children in wheelchairs some day.
