Dayton FOP 44 Foundation K9 Fundraiser
Tax deductible
It is with a heavy heart that we have to report the passing of K9 Kimbo. Officer Cagle and K9 Kimbo completed their state K9 certification training on November 30, 2020. Just a few short weeks later on December 21, 2020 K9 Kimbo began having extreme multiple cluster seizures, which required emergency care. Neurologists and veterinarians determined that it was a rare aggressive form of seizures that was unable to be controlled or managed.
K9 Kimbo and his handler, Officer Cagle, were assigned to the East Patrol Operations Division within the Dayton Police Department. Our goal is to raise funds to purchase a police K9 to give Officer Cagle an opportunity to be the handler he never got the chance to be. This cost is estimated to be approximately $8,000, which would include a 2 year health guarantee.
All donations will be received by The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #44 Foundation. Any funds raised above the cost of a police K9 will be used to purchase needed equipment for the Dayton Police K9 Unit.
