Floki had his mass drained for now and is going in for a minor, temporary-fix surgery on the 22nd of November, which will take the rest of the money we raised.

The vets say that this will buy us time until we can take him in to get his gland completely removed, which they say needs to be done out of province and will cost between $3000 to $5000. Therefore I'm raising the fundraiser goal amount. We will also be saving all we can ourselves to prepare for this big surgery that will fix the problem permanently! ❤️)

Hello, I never thought I would have to do this but maybe it's worth a shot!

We have had a horrible year with job loss, mental illness in the family, injuries and more.

Our dogs are our best friends and we take the best care of them, but life has sucked us dry and our boy Floki needs some immediate vet care.

He's just turned 2 he's the most special dog. My son 4 year old son is so attached they go everywhere together, he calls him "Soapy" because he can't say his name right.

In September he took fall from a 25 foot cliff and walked away with only a broken toe! We covered that barely.

Now he has a ruptured saliva gland (collateral damage from his fall) resulting in what's called a "salivary mucocele, 'ranula ' " , on his tongue, and he needs surgery.

I'm hoping, praying, and asking kind people to help with what they are able for our gentle giant whom we love so much.
