DCS Sign Language Class Jamaica Mission Trip

Hi Everyone!

A few months ago I came to the decision that I wanted to be a part of the 2023 Jamaica Mission Trip for my school's American Sign Language class. During this trip, my class and I will be traveling to a school for the deaf in Jamaica. We will utilize sign language in order to communicate with the kids there. There will also be building projects our team will be helping with at the school. There will also be opportunities to share the gospel with the kids at gatherings, during meals, and/or other parts of the day.

In addition, this will be a fun opportunity for me, as I have never been outside of the United States. I feel that part of my life calling is to travel and connect with new cultures and new people. God created multitudes of individuals and cultures for a reason, and I feel led to experience and make an acquaintance with them. This mission trip to Jamaica will be a great start to that journey and I need help in order to do so.

I’m attempting to raise $2,400 for this trip. These funds will go towards food, materials for building projects, the plane ticket, housing, and more. This year the group has less time to prepare, meaning we’re on a time crunch. Any amount of money that is donated will mean the world!
