My heart aches as I write this. Just days before Christmas, my mother, Cheryl, unexpectedly passed away. Her absence leaves a void in our lives.

As if life wasn't throwing enough curveballs, my brother just welcomed his first child, a beautiful baby boy, less than 24 hours before our Mother's passing. This bittersweet moment has brought immense joy amidst our grief. We're determined to celebrate the new life entering our family while honoring the woman we've lost.

However, the financial burden of a viewing and cremation has unexpectedly fallen on me. I was made aware our mother didn't have life insurance and I'm a seasonal worker with limited means as there hasn't been much work due to weather as most of you know. I'm reaching out for your compassion and support to give my mother the dignified farewell she deserves and ease the financial strain during this emotional rollercoaster.
