I am Corr! Holly's Best Friend from 5th grade, when we were 10 years old!!! (That's for Holly!)
Yesterday Holly lost her almost 4 year battle with Ovarian Cancer. At 8:47am, I lost a part of myself when I returned a missed call and found out My DEAREST, BRIGHTEST, HAPPIEST, CHEERLEADER was gone.
Although I am broken and haven't figured out how I am going to live without her, She left behind Three of the most beautiful girls I know!!! And, she took with her my promise that they are now mine (OURS) to take care of, support and be there for.
I have been asked OVER and OVER again in the last 24 hours how people can help? This is all I can think of because you cannot bring MY Holly back!!! So help me to keep my promise and take care of The girls, HER GIRLS, MY GIRLS, OUR GIRLS!!! Her prized possessions. I can't even begin to explain how PROUD Holly was after the birth of her youngest daughter Samantha Dawn, (Sammi or Sam, if you know her!), when she realized that she had a Redhead (Anamarie), Blond (Leslie), and Brunette (Sammi)!
Holly has been raising the girls alone for a very long time now, with the help of her West Sacramento community, family, and close friends. And although I always knew she was special, through the battle- I have been amazed to learn of just how many people she has touched, taught, and learned from! Last night as I finally left her house, as I drove away I was shocked at how BRIGHT the moon was, and then I realized...Of course!Holly is up there.
So please find it in your heart to help in ANY way you are able! $1, $5, $10...$100, whatever you can afford. It will all be appreciated and help to take care of the BEAUTIFUL gift that OUR HOLLY has left behind.
(I put $1,000,000 because Holly would be laughing at my Optimism!) Thank you in advance. Love you all, Holly's "Corr'
