Our beloved husband, father and brother Jamie committed suicide on 27th April.

Jamie has worked offshore for most of his adult life, and to many appeared to have it all. His wife Lorne is 4 months pregnant with their miracle, much longed for baby boy, and between them they share two daughters Elise (11) and Chloe (10).

Covid had a huge impact on the family’s finances, and Jamie spent much of 2020 and 2021 at home - unable to go offshore in order to make money and provide for his family. This resulted in huge debts for Jamie which he was left unable to repay. He was a proud man and felt unable to reach out to family and friends to ask for help.

Jamie has also battled with his mental health for many years, and on Saturday he lost this fight. We know that suicide doesn’t discriminate and sadly Jamie felt this was his only option.

Lorne is now left with the financial struggles Jamie has left behind. We are asking for donations to help Lorne pay for the funeral and support her through this next chapter as she prepares to welcome their baby boy alone.
