Rosie’s Surgery and Recovery

Our beautiful baby girl is the light of our lives. She’s so happy, cuddly, and full of love to give. Unfortunately at her 4-month check-up, she was found to have a unique form of Craniosynostosis. It’s a condition where the bones in her skull fused too early which impacts her brain growth and has the potential to cause other health complications throughout her life. Although we attended every appointment so far with the hopes that we would receive the “it’s not so serious” news or the “wear a helmet for a year” news that many people in our position hope for; this was not the case.

We were informed that to improve the quality of her life, she will be requiring open head surgery that will take time to heal and will require all of the love and support of her mommy and daddy. With having taken maternity leave, I have exhausted all my PTO. So with the appointments she will need, which will be frequent, I’m left with seeking a great amount of help from the kindness and generosity of strangers. In addition, Rosie's Dad, Abel, as you know is a first responder for Dallas Fire Rescue, and is constantly working overtime to help support our family's needs. Using these funds will help us with the expenses of our medical bills and the ability to lessen the amount of overtime to cover these costs.

We are humbly asking for any kind of donation or to at least share Rosie’s story. We are just so blessed that she will be in the best hands with the best medical care. Thank you so much for your support.
