Mike's funeral expenses

Michael Gary McDonald, age 52, died Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington Kentucky. Michael was born in Oceanside California to Douglas McDonald and the late Donna Alexander. He was a proud Army Veteran, a UK Wild Cats fan, a Diehard Nascar fan, and loved his family and friends. Michael was of the Baptist faith.
Other than his father Michael is also survived by his wife Dena McDonald, four sons, Jay Brown of Berea, Kai McDonald of Berea, Cody McDonald of Virginia, Kendall McDonald of Georgia, one daughter, Ashlee Vogelsang of Berea, one brother Greg McDonald of California, one sister, Cheryl McLemore of Crab Orchard, four grandchildren, Hunter Lawson, Kailee Lawson, Gabriel Maciel, and Jackson Riveria.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Wednesday at Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Jonas Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, Ky with full Military Honors. Visitation will be 10:00am Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.
Donations can be made in person at Davis and powell Funeral Home. The family of Mike has always been under the impression that the VA would take care of funeral expenses due to Mike being 100% disabled vet. That however was not the case and they need all the help they can get to make things easier on this family during this hard time. Thanks so much.
