De La Salle Blackfeet Alumni Visit Notre Dame

Hello, I am a teacher at De La Salle Blackfeet School, located on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana. Our small school serves grades 4th through 8th and operates predominantly through generous donors such as yourself. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources (yet) for a high school, so we must be creative to continue to support our young Lasallians as they move on to high school.

We are in the process of organizing a 2-week-long college visit to South Bend, Indiana. During these two weeks, these high school students will experience an age-appropriate college simulation where they will have the opportunity to reflect on their future and continued education. Coming from our very tight-knit community, we feel this trip will help prepare these students for potential "culture shock" when it is time for them to go off to college after they graduate.

The students will stay in the dorms, build their networking skills, and gain valuable information on what type of college they may want to attend. Week 1 will be spent at the prestigious Notre Dame and week 2 at its sister school, Holy Cross College. They will experience what it is like to attend both a very large university and a significantly smaller, and intimate college.

Our community, as well as the community in South Bend, are extremely excited to provide such an amazing opportunity for these young scholars. We are asking for any donations to support these young students in their life-changing college experiences.
