Help Sven Hold The Line

For those who haven't heard COVID hit me hard back in March and I never fully recovered. Being the stubborn, stoic fool that I am I spent far too long saying 'surely I'll be able to go back to work tomorrow/next week/next month' as my savings dwindled away and debt built up.

Eventually accepting that the near future does not hold that in the cards I have started the process last month of disability through my employer. Process, however, is the operative word and I do not know how long it will take before that is completed let alone begins to be paid out.

I absolutely hate being the person to ask for help. Not because I think it is any sign of weakness but because I have always prided myself on being the person there to help and support others and viewed my own worries and needs as less important. But, as they say, you have to secure your own oxygen mask before you can help others with theirs and I'm no use to anyone while trapped in fears and depression over financial woes.

So, while recognizing that things are rough for everyone right now, if you do have anything to spare I would be grateful and appreciative for the assistance. The set goal is enough to cover rent and unpaid bills and hopefully tide me over until the disability processing is complete. Anything above the goal will go towards paying down debt.
