Hi, my name is Janel Kluesner, and I am initiating a GoFundMe campaign for Deacon Gregory Lambert, 29. I met Greg while teaching at Seton Catholic and he has since become part of my family.

Greg will be ordained a priest on May 25, 2024 at The Cathedral of Saint Raphael in Dubuque, IA. (You're all invited!) He will be the very first African American priest in Iowa's history!

Greg is from Florida, but has chosen to be ordained in Iowa to be close to his brother, sister-in-law and his nieces. His future priestly assignments will be in the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Which means even if you do not know Greg, he might just end up assigned to your parish!

You may know him from his teaching duties at Seton Catholic in Farley/Peosta or from his mass participation at St. Elizabeth Pastorate. Or maybe you've met him whilst sampling some of the locally crafted brews. He has an infectious smile & a peaceful and humble presence.

But he's broke y'all! LOL!

It's a little known fact that students studying for priesthood forego financial compensation in return for their studies being funded by the archdiocese. Greg has spent the entirety of his twenties in school.

Let's celebrate this deserving young man & show him how thankful we are that he chose us! Let's gift him with financial stability as he gifts us with his service.
