Dead Lifts[Short Film 2024]

3rd Year Undergraduate Student Film, aiming to screen at renowned Film Festivals.

Synopsis:

Juliet Benson and Lucas Moss begin their day with a stretch and run to the gym. When Juliet stops to tie her shoelace, she gets up and trips over a leg lying on the ground. Confused and panicking, she sees a group of zombies come toward her. They grab and attack her. After being attacked by the zombies, Juliet grows angry with Lucas for not waiting or trying to help her. She follows Lucas into the gym and begins experiencing zombie-like symptoms as her voice is incoherent, her limbs fall off, her skin changes, and her hunger and emotions increase. While trying to get Lucas's attention, Juliet grows angrier and impatient with his self-obsessed tendencies and lack of awareness, creating irreparable tension in their relationship.
