Deagon Family Fundraiser

Hi family and friends of Brian, we have started a fundraiser to help the Deagon family focus on Brian’s health and his continued progress to be the guy we all love and adore.

Update 11/17/2024:

We have found that Brian is in the minority to survive this type of ABI that is caused by a sinus infection. He has made so much progress in relearning to swallow, stand, and walk. He currently still struggles with mobility, memory, and cognitive awareness which is why he requires 24/7 care. Recovery has also been much more difficult due to the ABI’s damage to Brian’s optic nerve which has left him blind. We have big plans and are hopeful for the future therapies and recovery path we have ahead! I could not have provided the same care for Brian without the financial help from our community and I am so forever grateful. I thought it may be helpful to specifically layout some of the ways this gofundme has helped and will be helpful for us in the future!

One time fees:

$33,000 - 3 month minimum at Shepherd Center (estimated start date January 13, 2025)

$8,000 - estimated cost of housing while in Atlanta

$5,150 - UAB Neuroplasticity Program

$5,000 - Legal Guardianship

$3,860 - Specialty Care Doctor to oversee Brian’s care and help with communication between his 9+ doctors.

Monthly:

$4,320 - Caregivers

$2,600 - PT and SLP Therapy

$450 - Average supply cost

Because of this, the Deagons are funding this program with their own finances and is why I’m sending another Call To Action for all of Brian’s community to support anyway that you can.
