Deako Pezathon Challenge

Donation protected
The Deako Pezathon Challenge was created to raise money for Rob Pezely and the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington.

One evening in September 2017, Rob, a beloved friend and colleague at Deako, was struck by a car at a crosswalk. He suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and was in a coma for weeks.  As is the nature of TBIs, recovery is not guaranteed and progress can be slow and incredibly difficult.  Day to day life is changed forever. While the physical scars may heal, the mental and emotional damage endures.

Throughout this process, both Rob and his wife Becky have been incredible.  Their positive attitude, courage, relentlessness, and deep love for each other has served as an inspiration for all who know them.

Sparked by this inspiration, 9 Deako employees and friends have been training to compete as "Team Pez" in the Vancouver Half Marathon/8K  on May 5th 2019. For every employee that completes the "Pezathon",  Deako will be making a donation to this cause. We encourage Deako's trade partners, employees and friends to do the same to help out Rob, Becky and others that have been affected by TBI.
