Hello y'all, my name is Donald (Donnie). I'm a proud veteran of the United States Army. I served this Great Nation for 10 years. Around the middle of July I started having some extreme back pain. I went to the ER three or four times trying to figure out what what going on. This pain was very sudden. One day I was fine and the next day I was in pain. I thought maybe I pulled a muscle, and through all the visits to the ER, no one could figure it out.
I usually take vacation around the middle of September. During My last visit to the ER, the Dr gave me a shot of steroids and hydrocortisone. I felt great. So I went on vacation. Well the shot didn't last long. By the time my wife and I got to Las Vegas, I was starting to hurt again. I had purchased tickets for the Nascar weekend. Unfortunately more symptoms were showing up. On Sunday, the day of the Cup race, I was rushed to the hospital. I only got to see my family for about an hour. Then we on our way back home. I made appointments to urology and gastroenterology.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and during my initial exam the Dr found that the inside of my bladder was extremely enflamed and had polyps. So the next course of action was a biopsy. On 10-21-21 I had the biopsy done and on 10-27-21 I was informed that I have advanced bladder cancer.
This all came out of nowhere so I'm asking for help with normal monthly bills, and medical bills, due to missed work. I am on unpaid FMLA so anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has donated to my cause, and please pass my story to everyone you know.
