Dealing with the Aftermath

It’s with a heavy heart that I ask, but I need help!

I had brain surgery June 28 to fix a long time issue that’s progressively gotten worse over the years. The surgery was a success in some ways, but there was complications. The Halo broke unbeknownst to my surgeons and cut my head an additional 7 inches requiring an additional 32 staples. There was evidence in my MRI that I also suffered a stroke.

I have been left with overstimulated sensory issues now (not something I suffered from pre op) I can’t regulate sound, light or even my body temperature and my neurosurgeon is baffled.

I live in the dark with no noise, no light and unable to stay a normal temperature. I can’t grocery shop, go in public, visit my friends, drive or work.

I’m being forced to move because I can’t pay rent on my apartment anymore, My disability isn’t enough to cover basic needs.

There is no cure right now for my issues and because this isn’t the “norm”, my doctors are baffled. They hope to find a solution but there’s nothing promising in the near future. I hope one day this will just go away but for now it’s here, it’s a problem, and I need to make some serious life changes to accommodate my new issues.

I need money to move, I need to pay my past due bills, I need to focus on my recovery whatever that may be now.
