Dean Roberts Cancer Fight

Cancer has struck so many people I know and love. Well it has decided to plant its markings on my sister Jodi’s family yet again! :-( Thankfully Jodi’s has been dormant for 5 years but not after losing their home, a vehicle and dignity. After building their lives again over the last 5 years sadly they are faced with it again. This time it struck her husband Dean. After being misdiagnosed for two years with sinus infections  low and behold on Feb. 14th this year that diagnosis changed to osteosarcoma and Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (rare sinus cancer) After two surgeries they were unsuccessful in removing all the fast growing tumors. With only one option other than death in a few months, he was accepted into UF Jacksonville Proton Radiation Therapy, 3 hours from their home. Dean is the sole provider for his family. Thankfully he has health insurance but no short/long term disability. His work has been incredibly generous but of course they have a business to operate. The stay alone for 8-10 weeks is $100 a night and have no household income coming in for life’s everyday bills.
