Deanna Atkinson's MS Fundraiser

Our Beautiful Dear Deanna Atkinson has experienced a decline in her Multiple Sclerosis health condition while living alone with her sweet, lovely kitty cat Artemis. As she navigates her ongoing debilitating physical and cognitive issues, Deanna has strongly expressed the importance for her to maintain her autonomy and independence. She is also supporting her mother with her own significant health challenges.

Deanna is no longer working and recently started permanent Social Security Disability Insurance. However, as you can imagine, she is finding it increasingly more difficult to stay afloat making ends meet and pay for living expenses, mountains of bills, groceries and necessary home modifications to make her home safer and handicap accessible.

She has had 3 surgeries in the last 5 years with intense physical therapy, the most recent being just this year. She has suffered multiple falls with varying levels of injury over the course of her disease, the most recent in her home being the most dangerous and most definitely the scariest so far. Each occurrence has brought its own level of challenges in navigating her MS. Deanna is immensely overwhelmed, stressed, anxious and exhausted managing all of these difficult life events, but she is just taking one day at a time!

Deanna is such a special lady who has touched so many lives in everything she does! While negotiating a complex and often invisible disability that has ended her career, she is extremely admirable and inspirational in her motivational drive to continue living this ever-changing iteration of her best life with independence and grace! Deanna would appreciate any help we can give her to keep her dreams alive and real! She is a person who definitely deserves to receive all the fruits in life, so let’s all band together and show her our gratitude and TLC!!!
