Deanna Needs Our Help

I just got a heartbreaking facetime call from Deanna, in a hospital gown, lit the fuck up on pain meds and about to go into surgery.  I don't know what happened, other than they have broken their tibia and need immediate surgery to repair it.  This recovery will be a long road for them, and I'm pretty damn they don't have insurance, let alone much of a savings account after making a huge move to New Orleans.  Moments like this are of course crystalline reminders of how utterly fucked our country's health care system is, that an event of this kind might bankrupt a person.  But it is also a moment where we as a community can come together and help someone we love, knowing that each of us would do the same for the other.  Late-stage American capitalism sucks, but our love for each other does not.  I set the "goal" at seven grand arbitrarily, as I think seven is a lucky number, but I wouldn't be surprised if this all ends up costing Deanna more.  You know the deal...any amount helps, pleeeease share this with others who know our Baby D, and thank you all for your support.
