My recovery from trauma and moving to mobility.

Hi, my name is Deanna, and im starting a fundraiser to ask for your financial assistance . As many of you know , I was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis due to Neurosarcoidosis that affected my thoracic spine . I am paralyzed from the waist down. In addition to not being able to walk, I have bladder and bowel issues, which require a permanent catheter and bowel certain regimen I must follow.

All of this has impacted my ability to work as a hairstylist, a career I loved for many years.

I still need to support myself and my family. I have Five adopted children, to of which are still minors.

I have a part time job, as a cashier in a store three days a week which I rode my electric wheelchair to get to work, which is about a mile away from my home . It takes me 35 minutes to get there. Then I have the return ride home in bad weather, rain, darkness, very hot days, etc. It is very hard on me not to mention my wheelchair. I want to purchase a mobility van to get to work.

Unfortunately, on 12/17/23 I had a traumatic accident with my wheelchair , and I broke both of my legs, requiring surgery and I will be out of work for several months. That is why I’m asking for your help to provide financial assistance to get me through these months I’m out of work and to help fund the purchase of a mobility van for when I can return to work.
