Deanne's Medical and Lodging Fund

My name is Autumn Furman and Deanne Greene is my beautiful mom. In February 2022, De was diagnosed with stage 4 appendiceal mucinous adenocarcinoma. In April 2022, she started chemotherapy as a means to try to shrink the cancer and make her a better candidate for cytoreductive surgery with hipec. Unfortunately, the first chemotherapy drug they tried did nothing as the cancer continued to grow and her cancer markers continued to rise, and while the second chemotherapy drug they tried, led to dips in her cancer markers, the cancer continued to spread and grow. She is now faced with an increasingly challenging road ahead as the next steps are to go ahead with the cytoreductive surgery with hipec and continue with chemotherapy 3 months after surgery for an undertermined amount of time.

This surgery is massive. I won't go into details here, but feel free to look it up. It will require about a 2-week stay in the hospital and months of hard recovery. The cost of travel, lodging, and prescriptions/medical equipment will be a cumbersome amount and I am asking for you to find the kindness in your heart to help cover these expenses and take some of the financial burden off of my mom and her husband Doug, so they can focus on the important things.
