Dean's Surgery

Hi everyone.

We received news this past year that due to Dean's chronic and painful ear infections, he would need to have his ear canals completely removed. Because Dean has been on ear medication basically since he arrived from St Lucia, this surgery cannot be covered by insurance; we would have to pay out of pocket.

Dean was meant to have his ear canals totally removed back in December, but after a cat scan, they opted for a less invasive, slightly less costly surgery. Unfortunately after almost over a year of no answers and hoping that surgery took, they have decided to go forward with a Lateral Ear Canal Resection. Dean will be going into surgery on Sept 18 and will be out of commission for a few weeks post surgery. But we are hoping this gives him some much needed relief as we've dealt with constant pain and reoccuring infections all summer.

To this point we have spent over 8,000 with this next surgery adding to that cost and we appreciate any support already given!
